Dealing with stress at work

Practical

If you're suffering with stress, anxiety or depression, speak to your GP.  Not only does this give you a better chance of tackling your symptoms, but you are unlikely to be able to bring a legal claim if you've not done this.

Tell your employer very clearly about the problems you're encountering and the effect they're having on your health.

 

Keep a written record of any conversations or communications which relate to the difficulties you're encountering.

Many companies provide their employees with free access to some form of counselling service.  Speak to your employer to find out whether this is an option for you.
